Salvatori Group achieves ISO 9001: 2015 certification

The Salvatori Group, a leading transport and logistics provider in Kent, has achieved certification to the internationally ISO 9001:2015 standard, establishing it as one of the leaders in its field.

Salvatori is one of more than 110 members that form the UK Palletways network, Europe’s largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network. As a South East of England Palletways member, Salvatori handles up to 500 pallets in and around the Canterbury and Ashford areas each day. The network supports its continued growth and strengthens its market-leading position across its depots in Canterbury, Rochester and Calais.

The company’s ISO 9001:2015 standard independent assessment was conducted by leading certification body, the British Assessment Bureau, and demonstrates the Group’s commitment to customer service and quality in delivery.

ISO 9001 was first introduced in 1987 and requires organisations to demonstrate solid processes and customer care. It ensures a Quality Management System is in place to ensure consistency and improvement; leading to high levels of performance and customer satisfaction. Certified organisations are committed to continuous improvement and are regularly assessed to ensure progress is maintained.

Through the certification process, the Salvatori Group has shown it has good service reliability and process controls. Salvatori Group Managing Director, David Tobin, says: “We’re particularly pleased to have achieved the ISO 9001:2015 standard as it underlines our commitment to customers and our focus on quality. Not many customers get to see their suppliers ’back office’ activities. This recognition demonstrates we can provide a quality solution from quotation to delivery.

“The Salvatori family have been operational in the Kent area for over 80 years. We pride ourselves in old fashioned values – like putting the customer first and ensuring that their needs are met. We are very proud, indeed, to have achieved the ISO9001: 2015 accreditation and is testament to the hard work of our entire team.”

Commenting on behalf of Palletways, Network Director, Barry Byers said: “The Salvatori Group continues to prove that it is absolutely committed to the logistics sector and developing its business practices. Their pallet volumes are consistent and on the always on the increase. Salvatori is a top performer within the Palletways network. Last autumn we recognised the business in our national Sales Awards for its outstanding sales performance in the South East of England and the vital role the company plays in the expansion of Palletways.”
