Hereford-based logistics firm invests in team to grow business

A Hereford-based logistics firm has appointed a new sales manager to grow its business in Herefordshire and Gloucestershire. Arthur Oakley Transport Ltd is one of more than 110 members that form the UK Palletways network, Europe’s largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network. It has recruited Delia Hynds as sales manager.

She brings with her seven years’ sector experience having worked for TNT and Palletforce, and most recently fellow Palletways member, International Forwarding Ltd. Based at the firm’s depot on Rotherwas Industrial Estate, Hereford, she’ll be responsible for the growth of the business which has a diverse customer base from single traders to multinational businesses.

Commenting on her appointment, Delia, who lives in Uckinghall, said: “Arthur Oakley is a platinum member of Palletways, a respected name in the logistics industry, and they have worked together for the last seven years. Combined, they’re a real force to be reckoned with and I’m delighted to be on board. Arthur Oakley is a mature, established business and, I’m keen to further develop its customer base, grow the order book and take the business to the next level.”
